5 years from now

5 years ago I wrote a post reflecting on where I had saw myself 5 years from then. Now I am thinking about where do I see myself 5 years from now.

I made a lot of big changes in my life already. Career, location, and relationships. And now I think that in 5 years from now, I want to focus on building up a version of me that had put effort and consistency into herself.

So far I have 3 major things I want to see improve within 5 years:

  1. Language Skills
Currently I am studying: Hindi, Turkish, Russian and Korean. And 5 years from now I hope to be able to make simple conversations in Hindi, with an improved understanding of the grammar, and ability to read with less effort devanagari. I also would like to see the same for Turkish, Russian and Korean. Although I have worked on these languages slowly everyday for the past year or more, I want to see some improvements so much so that when I do visit countries or meet people that uses these languages, I can start a simple conversation, and learn more to become hopefully more proficient and fluent.
  2. Fitness
Although I am not certain I will be able to continue playing futsal. I do know that I want to focus on maintaining mobility, have a good start on calisthenics, as well as maintaining a healthy and tone body. I know that being active is one thing I want to see myself continuing to prioritize.
  3. Relationship
Although I am not currently with anyone, I do hope that in 5 years I have made some good relationships that I could be able to find comfort and safety in. And that I would be able to also travel to places with. Not sure how it would exactly look like, but it be nice to share a home with a romantic partner, and have meals with friends and people I care deeply about.

Hopefully 5 years from now these 3 areas of my life are in a better state, and continues to evolve to suit whatever stage of life I am in.
